Safety and Emergency Duties: Participating in safety drills, emergency procedures, and life-saving equipment inspections.
Watchkeeping Duties: Standing watch on the bridge, monitoring navigational equipment, and reporting to the Officer of the Watch.
Learning and Training: Observing and assisting officers to gain practical knowledge in ship operations, navigation, and safety protocols.
Logbook and Documentation: Assisting in maintaining accurate records of navigation, cargo, and safety equipment.

Educational Background: Completion of a maritime academy or cadet program with a focus on navigation or marine engineering.

Physical Fitness: Ability to pass a medical examination and maintain good physical condition to perform duties effectively.
